Your trip details should be used to move your trip.
This notice explains what CharterKind collects through trip requests and the companion app, why it is needed and how it may be shared to respond.
Information you provide
We collect the contact details, organization, itinerary, dates, passenger count, accessibility or equipment needs, trip preferences and notes you submit. Phone calls and follow-up messages may add information to the same request.
How we use it
We use request information to review the itinerary, contact you, prepare transportation options, coordinate an accepted trip, keep operational records, prevent abuse and improve the request process.
Website and order pickup location
If you choose Use my location, the website or app requests a one-time precise or approximate device position to center the pickup map and fill the pickup field. Manual entry remains available. The site does not continuously watch your position. Coordinates become part of the trip request only when the pickup field containing them is submitted. When Google Maps is configured, Google may receive device, network and map-use information under its own terms.
Mobile app and active-trip location
Order pickup location is separate from driver tracking. When a driver explicitly starts an assigned trip, the CharterKind app may collect precise or approximate device location, including while the app is closed or not in use, to show the assigned coach's reported position and update trip progress. Collection stops when the driver ends the trip, stops sharing, signs out, loses the assignment or reaches the approved trip-window expiration. Background driver location is not started by opening the order map.
Location purpose and visibility
Active-trip location is linked to the driver's account, assigned vehicle and trip. It may be visible to authorized dispatchers, the applicable operating provider and authorized contacts for that trip. It is not sold, used for advertising, used for cross-app tracking or treated as an emergency signal. A stale or missing report means location is unavailable, not proof of the coach's current position.
Who may receive information
Trip information may be shared with Columbus Coach, prospective or confirmed operating transportation providers, authorized trip contacts, venues when you ask for planning assistance, and service providers that support email, phone, hosting, mapping and business operations. We limit access to what is reasonably needed for the request or accepted service.
Retention and security
At app launch, raw active-trip location points will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days, unless a documented safety incident, dispute or legal hold requires limited additional retention. Other request and trip records may be retained for business, operational and legal needs. Information is transmitted using encryption and access is scoped by role and trip. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your controls and choices
Drivers can stop location sharing in the app, end the active trip, sign out or revoke device permission. You can ask about, correct or request deletion of information associated with a trip, subject to legal and operational retention needs. Email [email protected] or call (877) 929-9590 and identify the request or trip.
